Abstract: Hilbert-Huang transformation is a newly developed time- frequency analysis method for dealing with non-linear and non-stationary signals. This paper briefly introduces the basic principle, several key technology and advantage of Hilbert-Huang transformation. And its application to the decomposition of seismic signals with random noise shows that the original signals can be reconstructed with this method, being worthy of further research and popularization.

Key words: seismie data processing, signal, noise, signal-to-noise ratio
