    2. Writing Requirement

    (1) Manuscripts should present clear arguments, reliable evidence, well-organized structure, and highlight key points. All headings should be concise, and the text, figures, and tables should be properly matched. The manuscript must not have been published in any domestic or international journal. Multiple submissions of the same manuscript are prohibited.

    (2) If the research has received funding or project support from government sectors or social organizations, please list the names and numbers of the funding projects.

    (3) There is no strict requirement for manuscript formatting, but Word documents are preferred. All terms, quantities, units of measurement, and symbols used must comply with national standards, with symbols properly annotated, and must be consistent throughout the manuscript.

    (4) Foreign scientific and technical terms, personal names, place names, and references should indicate the original language. The use of regular and italic fonts should be correct and standardized.

    (5) Formulas should be written centered on a separate line, with superscripts clearly marked. Long formulas may be broken at the equal sign or operators. Formula numbers should be placed at the end of the line in parentheses.

    (7) Figures (including photographs) should be in color, with clear images or plates. Each figure or photograph should be numbered in the text. Below each figure, include the figure number, title, and annotation. Image files are preferably in JPG or TIF format. Graph files must be vector graphics in CDR format. Drawing standards should follow the “Standards for Geological Mapping and Map Styles of Petroleum and Natural Gas” (SY/T5615-2004) and “Specifications for Exploration Deployment Atlas and Wall Map Compilation” (Q/SY01124-2019). These standards are available on the website of Xinjiang Petroleum Geology (URL: http://www.zgxjpg.com).

    (8) Foreign place names and personal names in figure and table titles should be indicated with the original language.

    (9) References should follow a sequential numbering system, numbered in order within the main text and listed in order at the end. For journal articles, provide author names (for multiple authors, list the first three followed by “et al.”), article title, journal name, year of publication, volume, issue, and page range. For books, provide authors, book title, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, and page numbers. For conference proceedings or collections, provide authors, paper title, editors of the entire volume, collection title, conference name, location, year, place of publication, publisher, year, and page range. Unpublished or internal materials should not be listed in references, but may appear as footnotes. Each manuscript must include at least 15 references, mainly from the last 10 years. Chinese references must include English translations.
