Abstract: The Permian and Triassic distribution and palacogeographical landform of the Turpan-Hami basin are discussed based on the outcrop and selsmic data. The Permian and Triassic formations are mainly distributed in the Tuksun de-pression, Hami depression and Bogda piedmont and between the Jueluotak mountain and the central fault. During the Permian and Triassic sedjmentation, the basin’s southern and northern boundary mountains, most areas in the south of Taibei, Liaodun uplift, and most of area in the southern monocline were eroded.
