Abstract: Depositional structural transposition zone is the most important discharge area of clastic sediments and the main zone for distribution of various sand-conglomerate bodies and favorable reservoirs. In post-depositional structural transposition zone, central distribution of a variety of non-structural reservoirs takes place due to variation of reservoir characteristics. Therefore, to study the favorable zone characteristics of reservoir distribution within depositional structural transposition zone, to search for the areas of favorable hydrocarbon accumulation within post-depositional structural transposition zone and to carry out the evaluation of matched relations between reservoir distribution and favorable structural zone are the key method for such a detailed study and reservoir exploration. Shengtuo area in Dongying sag has obtained great discovery for petroleum exploration by using this method.
