According to sedimentary environment and facies, this paper further classified and correlated the Jurassic in eastern Junggar basin by using sequence stratigraphy method, and compreben-sively analysed sedimentary facies and sequence of study area by applying geologic, logging and seismic methods. It is considered that Jurassic is a set of termigeneous clastic sediments controlled by tectonic and climate conditions, which is divided into humid and arid type based on sedimentary characteristics; and also divided into northern genue slope type and southem steep slope type based on low- wter level system tract .

    Chen Zhongqiang
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (4): 338-347.
    Abstract108)      PDF(pc) (1501KB)(200)       Save
This paper makes sequence stratigraphy analysis of Upper Devonian-Lower Carboniferous in southwestern Tarim,Bachu, Manxi, Hotan river, Tazhong and Tabei areas, and two sequences (corresponding to three-order sequences presented by Vail) were identifed. It is considered that Tarim basin have undergone two lange scale sea-level fluctuation. On the basis of sequence stratigraphy and biostratigraphy analyses, it is suggested that Paleozoic transgression of Tarim basin began at the Late Famenian in Late Devonian, and the age of“ Donghe sandstone”should be at the Late Famenian in I ate Devonian.

On the basis of trilobita, brachiopoda and conodont fossiles obtained from downhole, this paper studied downhole Cambrian-Ordovician section of Well Kunan 1. It is considered Cambrian-Ordovician and every formation of Cambrian as successive sediments.

GRAVTTY-FLOW DEPOSITION OF ORDOVICIAN CARBONATE IN TAZHONG AREA

    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (3): 231-233.
    Abstract85)      PDF(pc) (275KB)(246)       Save
In Tazhong area, the carbonate platform may be deformed into independent platform, resulting from the Galidonian event during the end of Early Ordovician to early period of Middle Ordovician. The steep slope occurs between the east end of the platform and deep-sea basin within Kuman aucolgon, above which gravity-low carbonate is deposited. based on the drilling data, three different sedimentary types are identified on the slope, namely, colluvial limestone, slip sedimentary rock, and debris flow brecciated limestone.

OUTCROP STUDY ON CONFIGURATIONS AND RESERVOIR HETEROGENETTY IN MEANDERING CHANNEL SANDBODY- An Example from Outcrop Sandbody of Yanan Formation in Northeastern Erdos Basin
Zhang Yundong, Li Zhen, Wen Xianduan
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (3): 234-238.
    Abstract101)      PDF(pc) (479KB)(222)       Save
This paper dissected the configuration and reservoir heterogeneity characteristics in meandering channel sandbody in Zhaoshiyao on the scale of macroscope, mesoscope and microscope. Based on the realistical description of the cliff and the observation of space geometric shape, types and characteristics of genetic facies and their interrelation of sandbody, six levels of interfaces, twelve types of reservoir lithofacies and four types of barrier beds were distinguished, their sedimentation and distribution characteristics were studied. Hence an important basis for developing the quantitative reservoir model is provided.

FACIES MODEL AND OIL-BEARING PROPERTY OF CONGLOMERATE RESERVOIR OF BRAIDED RIVER DELTA IN ARNAN SAG OF ERLIAN BASIN
    Zhang Wenchao, Dang Zhenrong
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (3): 239-246.
    Abstract106)      PDF(pc) (609KB)(179)       Save
Based on the analysis of lithologic sections, log data, sedimentology characteristics, reservoir properties, depositional structures and sedimentary rhythm in Arnan sag of Erlian basin, it is considered that the third member of Arshan formation(Lower Cretaceous) in Arnan sag was product due to one event of sedimentation with multiple provenances and compositions conglomerate of near provenance, coarser clast, low maturation of the composition and texture. This paper firstly presented that A-3 member conglomerate deposited in large size of braided river delta, possessed three beds of structures(i. e. delta plain, delta front and prodelta) of long provenance delta, had sedimentary structure dominated by traction current and positive rhythm section characteristics. Hence ten microfacies such as subwater channel etc. are subdivided, reconstructing the lithofacies and Paleogeography environment of A-3 member and establishing model of these facies. It is pointed out that reservoir space of conglomerate is composed of primary intergranular pore, hole and fracture, secondary denudation pore and structural fracture. Reservoir quality and oil-bearing property of conglomerate and reservoir distribution are all controlled strictly by sedimentary microfacies, gravel propping pattems and structure development degree.

EARLY PERMIAN SPOROPOLLEN ASSEMBLAGE AND THEIR FLORA PROVINCE IN SOUTHERN TARIM BASIN
    Zhu Huaicheng
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (2): 142-146.
    Abstract91)      PDF(pc) (952KB)(202)       Save
The Early Permian sporopollen flora in southern Tarim basin could be divided into two assemblages, i.e. Striolatospora-Qipanapollis (SQ) assemblage (early period of Early Permian) and Potonieisporites - Vesligisporites (PV) assemblage (middle period of Early Permian). The analysis of characteristics of sporopollen flora showed that the sporopollen flora in the early-middle period of Early Jusssic belong to Euramerican flora rather than the previously recognized Cathaysian flora. The so-called “mixed living” of Euramerican, Angaran, Cathaysian and Gondwanan flora is beyond the truth. This is also supported by the palaeogeographic location at that time in Tarim massif.

SPOROPOLLEN ASSEMBLAGE OF QIKETAI FORMATION IN TAIBEI SAG OF TURPAN - HAMI BASIN
    Ji Liming
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology    1997, 18 (1): 54-61.
    Abstract84)      PDF(pc) (1549KB)(138)       Save
Sporopollen fossiles of 32 genera and 54 species were discovered in Qiketai formation by analysing the samples from wells Pu1 and Caonan 1 in Tabei sag of Turpan-Hami basin. The typical Granulatisporites-Classopollis-Podocarpidites sporopollen assemblage can be identified according to distribution characteristics of genera and species and their stratigraphic significances. Gymnospermous pollen prevails(68. 7% ),pteridophyta spore is next(31.3% ). Compared with the isochronical sporopollen assemblage at home and abroad in geologic history of main classes and major genera and species, the sporopollen assemblage in Qiketai formation is considered similar to the ones from Zhiluo formation of central Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningia basin, Wangjashan formation of Jingyuan, Gansu, and Jiulongshan formation of northern Hebei province. Its geologic age should be late Mid Jurassic, that is Bathonian - Callovian period.
