Abstract: The Ordovician fractured?vuggy carbonate reservoirs in Tahe oilfield of Tarim basin is characterized by variety of reservoir spaces, extremely strong heterogeneity, development of the fractured?vuggy reservoir bodies and complexity of fluid property. Based on the 15year experiences in Tahe oilfield development, this paper presents the key points in rolling development procedure, basic principle and plan design, and discusses the rolling development process of this fractured?vuggy reservoir by case study, providing useful experiences for the carbonate reservoir exploration and development of the Ordovician in Tahe oilfield
