FRESH WATER APUS FOSSIL GROUP IN JURASSIC AND TRIASSIC IN XINJIANG

Abstract: The discovered Apus fossils in Jurassic and Triassic have been analyzed and compared in three large basins in Xinjiang.It is considered that the fossils discovered in Kuqa Depression of Tarim basin, MidUpper Triassic of Turpan-Hami basin, Tuosi-tai area in southern Junggar basin, Sangtanghu basin, Yanqi basin, and Mid-Lower Jurassic in Tabei uplift of 1arim basin, all belong to Karamay Apus fossil group, which occurred in late period of Middle Triassic to early and middle periods of Middie Jurassic.
