Abstract: On the basis of analyses of structure evolution, distribution and pore evolution of reservoir, oil-source correlation, reservoir formation time and thickening mechanism of viscous oil in Lǜkeqǜn arc-like belt, Turpan-Hami basin, it is considered that Tuyuke heavy oil formed in Early Jurassic, along with superior structure and reservoir quality; the thickening of crude oil is related with viscous oil expelled in low maturity period, and more importantly, with degradation of anaerobic bacteria and escape of light composition. Therefore it is reasonable to suggest that Lǜkeqǜn arc-like belt is an important target for heavy and light oil exploration in pre-Jurassic in Turpan-Hami basin.
