Abstract: The forming mechanism of Bashituopu structure and oil/gas reservoir has been researched according to the disorder reflection characteristics of pre-Sinian basement in seismic profile across the well and cutting reflection characteristics of the top of Lower Permian, combirxing with geological and organic geochemical analysis data. It is considered that the forming time of Bachituopu structure matches oil and gas migration in deep Cambrian-Ordovician and Carboniferous. These formed the secondary natural gas reservoir in the top of Carboniferous and primary one of Silurian- Devonian, which are an important target for future oil and gas exploration in this area.
