Abstract: This paper briefly described tectonics setting, magnetic basement characteristics and division and characteristics of structural element in Fuhai area of northern Xinjiang, and tectonic evolution history was discussed. It is suggested that in the Paleozoic it consists of the Siberia plate in the north and Kazakhstan plate in the south, both of which sutured with the Erqis. The north is Altay ancient continental margin magna active belt, while the south is north Junggar arc-basin belt, both of which were sutured in Late Carboniferous.
