Abstract: Hi Basin is considered as a ctmtinental rifting basin in which sedimentary facies contain volcanic rock, clastic rock, mudstone and limestone through an analysis of 6 sections in Qiongblark,Ining county. During early pre—Permian, the eruption of continental volcanic rocks resulted in the deposition of 3000 m volcanoclastic rocks. In late Permian,a rifting freshwater lake was formed and underwater fan developed. The active lacustrine sedimentation becomes stable*which is benificial f〇T hydiocarbon generation and accumulation.
