Abstract: This paper emphatically desciibes the testing applications and results of EBH' s rapid oil show analyser (OSA) and porosity—permeability analyser (p—k) following a brief introduction to their operating principle and flowchart. Having summarized and analysed from the testing results,it is considered that these instruments can rapidly provide a great deal of geologic informations. These can meet the requirements for drilling exploration, and also the suggestions for further understanding and improvements are presented based on authors' field applications.
