Abstract: The systematic analysis of structures in Kuihuadao oilfield in eastern Liaohe basin shows that the faulting fractures in studied area are characterized by multi-stage activities. The structural types are dominated by extension and strike-slip, and Yannan fault is a key controlling fault. The faults are formed in the late depositional stage of Shahejie formation, and active in depositional stage of Dongying-2 member and gradually weaken in late Dongying depositional stage. Therefore, the oil-gas distribution in this area is controlled by the structures. The hydrocarbon enriched areas could be in the high of anticline and near the early and long-term developed faults liked with oil source.
