Abstract: The concept of negentropy is introduced into domain of hydrocarbon generation from organic matter. A new mechanism of hydrocarbon generation from organic matter is presented based on dissipation composition theory and microscopic physics. That is, a new hydrocarbon with ordered structure will be formed in self- organizationally by the dissipative organic matters when the negentropy is imported in the complex system of nonlinearity and imbalance.

Key words: oil origin, microphysics, dissipative structure, negentropy, unbalanced system, self-organization
