Abstract: This paper presents the principle of sequential indicator simulation and the steps run by comparison of outcrop with downhole data within a rare-wildcat well area by using the simulation to predict reservoir lithology. In addition, the simulation method has been used to develop a predicted profile of reservoir lithology in the case of three wildcats in an area of Tarim basin.
