TERRENE CONNECTION, FORMATION AND EVOLUTION OF JUNGGAR BASIN

Abstract: Tte author made a discussion to the basemont characteristics, formation and evolution of the Junggar Basin, according to some geophysical data such as the gravity, magnetic, seismic, well driling and regional geology, and regaded that basement of Junggar Basin is mainly formed by conection of Manas Terrene and Ulungur Terrene in late Carboniferous thome located in the axis of Sangequan uplift. ln Palaeozoic to Quaternary, Junggar Basin was undergoing six separated structural-depoeitional evolution stages, i. e, platfarmal marine basin, foreland marine basin,taphrogeny- remained marine basin, continent depressional basin, continent vibration basin and continent contraction basin.
