Abstract: The Middle Jurassic reservoir in Turpan-Hami basin is characterized by complexity in its genetic mechanism. By employing the concept of petrophysical facies, the evaluation of reservoir quality in Pubei- Shengbei-Lianmuqin area of the basin is made in order to more accurately predict effective thickness distribution and its storage capacity. This study is based on the research of sedimentary facies and diagenetic facies of the reservoir followed by organic superimposed and extension between them, and gives the time-space distributions. And on the basis of the characteristics of reservoir petrophysical parameters and configuration relationship of reservoir types, six kinds of petrophysical facies are lassifed. It is indicated that the classification will be as guide for petroleum exploration and development in Turpan-Hami basin.
