Abstract: This paper analysed and discussed the association characteristics of the biomarker in Upper and Mid-Lower Jurassic source rocks in Junggar basin. It demonstrat-ed that two sets of source rock are regionally different sedimentary systems, but possess similar sedimentary characteristics and provenance in some areas or beds, so the associa-tion of biomarker is also similar. It is concluded that environment controlled the compo-nents of biomarker in sediments.
