Abstract: An important meteorite collision event occurred in the Miocene in Mangar area, eastern Tarim basin, resulted in a subround ancient meteorite crater with diameter of 15 km and depth of 2 km. A suite of coarse deposits in meteorite crater resulted in basin-shaped seismic anomaly in time section which in tum caused the dome structure pseudomorph in the underlying strata due to its high seismic velocity.
