Abstract: By means of continuity equation, momentum equation, constitutive equation and Polyflow (a software for calculation of fluid dynamics), the stress acted on residual oil film by polymer solution at oil-wet rock surface is calculated. The results show that the bigger the viscoelasticity of polymer solution, the greater the stress acted on the residual oil-film, and the more favorable to the oil-film deformation; the bigger the flow channel width, the greater the deviatoric stress acting on the oil-film, the more favorable to the oil displacement efficiency enhancement.

Key words: polymer solution, oil film, stress, viscoelasticity
