Abstract: Permeability variation factor is a key parameter to describe reservoir heterogeneity. Field statistics includes the statistic theory equation and the empirical equation method proposed by Dykstra-Parsons in 1950, and each method has its own advantages and disadvantages as well as specific application scope. This paper presents the different variation factor statistic results for the east block of South District-1 in Daqing oilfield using the different methods. The study shows that comparison between the factors given by the same statistic method is a good way to ensure a correct result.
