    1990, 11 (1):  9-19.
    Abstract ( 76 )   PDF (874KB) ( 275 )   Save
Northeast Tarim Basin means the Tabei platform - uplift belt which consists of Kuluketage uplift, Tabei uplift and Keping uplift from east to west. This paper mainly discussed the Tabei uplift. It underwent pre - sinian period of geosynclinic development , development and disintegration of platform from upper Proterozoic to later period of lower Palaeozoic, development of geosyrtcline and platform in upperpalaeozoic and development of basin and mountain from Mesozoic to Cenozoic. More than ten times of structural movement had happened among these Periods of geological time and formed various types of unconformity, weathering zone and other contact relationship between different layers. It exists many suite of source rock and hydrocarbon-generating association among Cambrian to Ordovician, carboniferous to Permian and Triassic to Jurassic Period. The ideal source area is around Manjiaer and the multistructural movements created a good condition for hydrocarbon accumulation in Tabei uplift.

Sun Shaohua, Wei Zhouling, Zhang Qinhua
    1990, 11 (1):  25-31.
    Abstract ( 83 )   PDF (575KB) ( 218 )   Save
The sedimentary environment of the Baogutu Formation on the northwestern margin of Junggar basin has been widely discussed. Many authors consider that the Baogutu Formation is shallowsea sediments. This paper systematically studies the sedimentary environment of the Baogutu Formation in this area using the methods of sedimentology, stratigraphic palaeontology, element geochemistry, and so on. It is considered that the Baogutu Formation is mainly shallow to bathyal deposits, and its top and bottom are continental fluvial lithofacies. The Baogutu Formation was formed in the Viseen and Bashkirian of the Carboniferous.

METHODS OF DEVELOPING DEEPLY BERRIED LIGHT OIL AND GAS RESERVOIRS WITH HIGH EFFECIENCY
    Wang Dajun
    1990, 11 (1):  32-39.
    Abstract ( 80 )   PDF (586KB) ( 175 )   Save
In deep formation light oil. condensed gas and natural gas are often berried, forming special oil and gas reservoirs of high economic value. Under high pressure and high temperature, liquid hydrocarbon is disolved in gaseous hydrocarbon. When pressure drops below bubble point, the retrograde condensation phenominon occurs in reservoir fluid, resulting in gas retrograde condensate remaining in the reservoir. Therefore, the miscible nitrogen injection is practiced abroad for effectively developing light oil reservoirs. With the pressure increased in condensate reservoirs. high recovery is obtained. There are two kinds of miscible displacement. One of them is multi plecontact miscible displacement, being also called dynamic miscible displacement. which is completed by multiple distillation and extract. The example of miscible nitrogen injection in Fordoche oil field, U. S, A. is given in this paper . the predicted ultimate recovery is as high as 54.5%. Finally, some suggestions are made on the effective development of condensate gas and volatile oil fields.

A STUDY ON THE STEADY AND HIGH PRODUC-TION IN THE WATERFLOODING DEVELOP-MENT OF WANGCHANG OIL FIELD
    Yang Shoushan
    1990, 11 (1):  40-49.
    Abstract ( 88 )   PDF (705KB) ( 258 )   Save
Wangchang oil field is located in the fault subsidence basin of Salt Lake in Jianghan area. Effected by both the fault and rock salt. it has a special geology and recovery pattern. The unfavorable aspects of the field include the deep w ef Is. thin pay zones, low permeabilities, and the serious corrosion of wellbore facilities caused by salt and gypsum scalling. The favorable aspects include the steep formation structure, reverse rhythmic deposit and water wet rock. So high waterflooding sweep efficiency and high saline—oil displacement efficiency are obtained. In this paper the geological characters and waterflooding development results are summerized. The practical experience of steady and high procuction is reviewed. An example of the use of dynamics in field geology and development is given. The goal of extending the duration of steady and high production is proposed.

AFFINITIES BETWEEN CRUDE OILS AND THERMAL EVOLUTION HISTORIES OF SOURCE BEDS,SANTAI-NORTH SANTAI AREA, JUNGGAR BASIN
    Wang Yutao, Chen Kexun
    1990, 11 (1):  50-58.
    Abstract ( 146 )   PDF (612KB) ( 289 )   Save
Through analysis and correlation of conventional physical and geochemical proper- ties of oils from Santai and North Santai, the authors believe that the properties of the oils are controlled by tectonization within this area, and that heavy oil in the southern slope of Santai and North Santai resulted from the secondary alternation, such as oxidation and biodegradation, occurring in the reservoirs. A Isothrough discussion of source matter and environment, it is shown that those oils are characterized by having similar source environment and deriving from mixed organic matter of Lacustrine facies, with the exception of oil from the northern part (well Bei 16 area) of North Santai, which source organic matter contains relatively high content of lower organisms, and oil from Juarassic of well Bei 27 in the southwestern slope of North Saniai, which is characterized by the slightly oxidizing to reducing source environment and deriving from humic organic matter of lacustrine and swamp facies. The thermal Evolution histories of the source beds indicate that Permian in the foredeep and Permian and Jurassic in the Fukang depression are probably the major source of oils from Santai and North Santai.

    1990, 11 (1):  59-66.
    Abstract ( 72 )   PDF (464KB) ( 187 )   Save
Based on the specific geological conditions of the Junggar Basin, the SLBSS basin simulation system has been improved. The auther proposed a revised pressure equation and a revised boundary condition, added erosion processing and the kinetic model of hydrocarbon generation to the system, and had its mathematical model coded. Therefore, the system is more suitable to a variety of complicated geological conditions.

AN OIL-FINDING METHOD BY GEOTHERMAL ANOMALY
    Zhang Zishu
    1990, 11 (1):  74-77.
    Abstract ( 120 )   PDF (341KB) ( 222 )   Save
Since 1970, petroleum geologists in USA and USSR have found that a normal geothermal anomaly occurres generally in depthvariable layers over an oilfield. According to the statistical analysis, it mainly resulted from a low abnormal geothermal gradiant of petrolifeous reservoirs and from a geothermal anomaly of pay zones spreading into shallow layers, but it had little relationships with in situ structure units,palaeo-geographic conditions, geomorphic contrasts, oiltrap types and palaeo-climates. In this result, the discovery has been turned into a kind of oil-finding method in use rapidly. More simple facilities required mainly consists of rigs carrier mounted, thermo-sensing resistances, cables and semi-conductor thermometers. It has now been proved that this method is a highly-speed and inexpensive means for non-seismic prospects .

GENETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF SUBMARINE FANS AND THEIR POTENTIALITIES FOR OIL—GAS STORAGE
    Zhu Qi huang
    1990, 11 (1):  78-83.
    Abstract ( 151 )   PDF (509KB) ( 367 )   Save
Submarine fans are formed from sediment-gravity flows in deep-sea environment and can be defined as channel-fill and lobe (or sheet sand body) complexes. According to plate tectonic settings, submarine fans can be classified into four types which have different sedimentary characteristics respectively: immature passive-margin fan, mature passive-margin fan,active-margin fan and mixed setting fan. Submarine fans develop primarily during periods of iow sea level, and hydrocarbon-bearing fan sequences are associated generally with global of low sea level. Channel-fill and lobe sandstones are two kinds of major reservoir units in submarine fans, the reservoir potentials of which are not only controlled by their primary depositional features, but also related with later diagensis.
