FORMATION OF IMMATURE OILFIELD IN JURASSIC COAL-BEARING BASIN IN NORTHWESTERN CHINA
    Hu Sherong
    1998, 19 (3):  187-191.
    Abstract ( 77 )   PDF (230KB) ( 231 )   Save
Based on the coal petrology of immature oil and the hydrocarbon-generation experiments with peat, coal and mudstone in coal-bearing series, it is pointed out that absorption of clay minerals and micro-pore in coal controls formation, expulsion and migration of coal-formed oil.The maceral of Jurassic coal in northwestern China is composed of matrix vitrinite and suberinite. It is quite difficult to form the sized oilfield but may be discovered in some depressions with developed limnetic facies source rock.

HYDROCARBON EXPLORATION AND REMIGRATION IN TARIM BASIN
    An Zuoxiang
    1998, 19 (3):  192-195.
    Abstract ( 96 )   PDF (170KB) ( 204 )   Save
Rich results in hydrocarbon exploration have been obtained in Tarim basin, while the difficulties in petroleum geology theory guiding exploration practice are encountered at present.Successful oil/gas exploration theories in eastern China failed in Tarim basin.During development of new theory, oil and gas remigration theory demonstrated by the author in recent years played a central role in reservoir formation(including oil/ gas generation, migration and accumulation). It reflected the characteristics of polycyclic tectonic evolution in China, accorded with enrichment of fluid mineral product such as oil and gas. Therefore it is a key to solving hydrocarbon exploration difficulty in Tarim basin at present.

    1998, 19 (3):  207-209.
    Abstract ( 68 )   PDF (164KB) ( 163 )   Save
Bashituopu litho-structural reservoir formed in Late Carboniferous-Early Permian, in which hydrocarbon distribution was completely controlled by paleostructure.Owing to tectonic movement in Late Cenozoic, Bashituopu paleoanticline evolved into a nose-like structure dipping west, but oil and gas in bioclastic limistone didn't completely lose because of severe heterogeneity and uncommunication in limistone reservoir.Bashituopu paleoanticline, to the east of Well Qun 4, still contains large amount of unproved reserves. It is a very favourable exploration area.

GEOLOGIC SIGNIFICANCE OF ILLITE CRYSTALLINITY IN TERTIARY MUDSTONE, TARIM BASIN
    Wang Xingxin, Wang Shaoyi
    1998, 19 (3):  213-217.
    Abstract ( 124 )   PDF (254KB) ( 283 )   Save
The Tertiary in Tarim basin is in the early diagenesis stage. The illite crystallinity in Tertiary mudstone remains the same as the anchi-metamorphic source rock in orogenic belt in the periphery, and becomes better from bottom to top.The vertical illite crystallinity variation remarkably divides into two stages, just consistent with the first and second episodes during the elevation stage of Himalayan movement, which reflects the rapid sedimentary characteristics of continuous uplift and denudation of orogenic belt.It is believed that rapid uplifting, denudation, accumulation, and low diagenetic degree are necessary to allow the structural features of anchi-metamorphic illites preserved, and also the most important control on the compositional characteristics of clay mineral in mudstone.

    Li Wenhou
    1998, 19 (3):  218-220.
    Abstract ( 77 )   PDF (166KB) ( 150 )   Save
On the basis of lithology, sedimentary structure, fossils and geochemical markers, this paper systematically analyzed the sedimentary environment of Upper Permian Lucaogou formation in Aiweiergou area.Near-shore turbidite fan and typical turbidite rock are deposited on well-developed deep-lake facies sediments in this area. The deep-lake facies dark mudstone, shale and oil shale are better source rock, and the overlying Mid-Upper Triassic Xiaoquangou group is the favourable reservoir. All these support that there is higher hydrocarbon potential below Jurassic in the depression of southern Turpan-Hami basin.

GRAIN SIZE FRACTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CONGLOMERATE AND ITS APPLICATION IN KARAMAY OILFIELD
    Liu Shunsheng, Zheng Qiang
    1998, 19 (3):  231-232.
    Abstract ( 152 )   PDF (132KB) ( 194 )   Save
This paper proved that grain size composition of pluvial fan conglomerate has self-similar fractal structure by applying fractal theory. The calculations showed that fractal dimention number of conglomerate is bigger than that of sandstone, and conglomerates with different origins have different fractal dimension numbers.Based on the application of fractal dimension number of grain size composition in sedimentary environment interpretation and reservoir evaluation and case study of conglomerate reservoi r in Karamay oilfileld, it is indicated that the fractal dimension number of grain size composition can reflect the evolution of sedimentary environment, and also establishes linear relationship with sorting coefficient and permeability of rock.

    1998, 19 (3):  237-240.
    Abstract ( 63 )   PDF (182KB) ( 147 )   Save
The calculation of fluid saturation in the transition zone is highly related to accurate calculation of oil and gas geologic reserve in oil/water transition zone in heterogeneous low-permeability reservoirs. The distribution of oil saturation is determined by modifying the capillary pressure curves, and oil and gas geologic reserves in transition zone of Triassic(Karamay formation)in Karamay oilfield calculated with the introduced Black Oil model.Compared with the conventional method, this method is more accurate, simpler, and more flexible in layer division.

    Zhang Jiafu, Liu Suhua
    1998, 19 (3):  250-252.
    Abstract ( 100 )   PDF (156KB) ( 137 )   Save
Some pressure buildup test curves in Karamay oilfield exhibit phase segragation phenomenon to various extent, which therefore distorted the shape of well test curves, and also covered the true properties of formation. If treated improperly, the erroneous conclusion is likely to occur. In order to enable pressure buildup data to correctly evaluate the reservoir, the phase segragation effect was analysed in details. Its forming mechanism was analysed by using actual data, and the corresponding solution obtained.

THE FIRST SINO-FOREIGN JOINT VENTURES IN XINJIANG PETROLEUM HISTORY—Dushanzi Oil Company
    Chen Yanqi
    1998, 19 (3):  253-262.
    Abstract ( 230 )   PDF (168KB) ( 313 )   Save
Dushanzi oil company was the first Sino-foreign(the former Soviet Union)joint ventures in Xinjiang petroleum industry at the end of 1930s.Because of no official contract or agreement, Chinese didn't obtain the equal position and condign respect. At the beginning of 1940s, owing to complex historical background, both China and the former Soviet Union requsted negotiation and signing official agreement, but due to quite different standpoint, they didn't reach a consensus.Looking back to this period of history, it leads us think more.
